Current Projects

Here are our projects that we are currently working on. We take pride in every step of the restoration if it is metal rust repair, body, and paint, or assembly. Every staff member shares the same passion and high expectation as the name Silver Lining Auto Restoration.

1960 Volkswagen 23 Window Samba Bus

We have this cool 1960 VW 23 Window Deluxe Bus that we are doing a restoration on, we can't wait to see it at the end.

A rare 1960 Double Cab pickup. Our customer did most of the metal work and wants us to finish up the rear bed area then, continue with the body work and paint.

Our customer is wanting a custom build on this 1965 Double Cab Bus and we can't wait to deliver. There are plans for a ragtop, airride, and a big motor, and those are just a few of the things that we will be doing to the Bus.

1964 Volkswagen 11 Window Westfalia Subhatch

A nice Westfalia Subhatch Bus that has seen too many bad restorations. With rust everywhere, we will do the rust repair the right way.

1959 Volkswagen 23 Window Deluxe Microbus "Survivor Resto"

We will be performing a Survivor Restoration on this beautiful original paint 23 Window Samba Bus. We can't wait to see how this project finishes out. It is going to be a really nice patina bus. Our customer wants all the rust repaired then paint blended out to the OG paint.

1961 VW Double Cab Pickup

This Double Cab came from a couple in Montana who dearly loved the Bus. They were very sad to see it go, but it was the right decision as the Bus was only rotting into the ground. We will bring the Bus back to it's previous glory. After we performed all the metal work and the Bus was heading for bodywork and paint we had an interested client who purchased the Double Cab and is having us finish the restoration.

1961 VW 23 Window Deluxe Microbus "American Pickers"

This Bus is a special one because of the fact that it was featured on the TV show "American Pickers" in the June 25th 2012 "Love Em and Leave Em" episode. We had already started to strip it down and perform the metal work when a good customer of ours just had to have it. We will be starting up on the project once again.
