This 1956 Wolfsburg built 23 Window Deluxe Bus was a special build. Our client wanted to utilize only VW original parts, which made the restoration very difficult and time consuming, but we love the way it turned out and it’s a blast to start up the 36hp motor and cruize around town. It’s a great feeling to know this Bus will be enjoyed for many many year to come.

Project Updates:

February 4, 2017

This rare Wolfsburg 1956 Bus has been blasted and now we can see how much rust was not fixed the first time someone worked on it. No big deal, we will do what we do best and bring it back to rust free. We ordered the replacement metal and it is ready to start the restoration.

June 8, 2018

We were not expecting this Bus to be as rusty as it was. The previous owner said it needed a little more blocking and then it could be painted. Once we blasted it…boy were we shocked, it needed some rust repair for sure. All the rust issues are now resolved and the Bus is in its final block sanding stage. We can’t wait to get it painted.
